The film, which was shot with minimal crew, was filmed earlier this summer in a matter of weeks after COVID-19 restrictions on filming were loosened. According to the trade, Baron Cohen and the filmmakers travelled to various parts of the U.S. and abroad in order to have a film ready for release before November. Baron Cohen is even described as rushing the film to make sure it opens “before Election Day....

“Everything on the show has a contemporary sensibility to it,” Bridgerton showrunner Chris Van Dusen told Seventeen. “Even though we’re in the 19th century, you sometimes forget about that and that’s intentional. We wanted modern audiences to relate to the show and see themselves on screen.” Speaking to Oprah Mag specifically about the Bridgerton soundtrack, Van Dusen said: “The music for us was kind of an evolution we found when making the show as the cuts were coming in....

Spinning out of the events of Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths and DC Universe: Lazarus Planet, Dawn of DC offers exciting new takes on the company’s greatest books: “Dawn of DC is one of our most ambitious initiatives ever and is a chance for us to tell bigger and bolder stories across our line,” explained DC chief creative officer Jim Lee in a blog post....

Legends of Tomorrow Season 6 Episode 10 Matt Ryan’s John Constantine is tremendous. He’s the definitive translation of a previously untranslatable character – an enormous feat of storytelling and acting craft, considering DC has been trying (with wildly varying degrees of success) to translate Constantine out of his Vertigo roots and into the mainstream DCU for the better part of a decade now. The fact that Ryan can take this character and make him likable and entertaining and also be a fairly faithful translation of the core of John Constantine on network television is a huge success....

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is one of the biggest anime series of the past few years and with a feature film and second season on the way that’s not likely to change anytime soon. The thrilling action anime series depicts the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a budding Demon Slayer who’s recently become orphaned by monsters and had his sister transformed into one of their own kind. There are no shortage of anime series where underdog protagonists with some variety of supernatural powers hunt deadly monsters, but the way in which Demon Slayer differentiates itself is through the powerful blades that the characters wield....

Shrouded in stark blacks and whites, shadows and deceiving halos of light, there is a chilling unnaturalness to The Tragedy of Macbeth, which runs counter to most Shakespearean cinematic adaptations. Rather than reach for the naturalistic sweep of epic filmmakers like David Lean or Franco Zeffierelli—as has been the popular method of translating Shakespeare to screen since Kenneth Branagh’s run in the ‘80s and ‘90s, not to mention Zefferelli’s own contributions—Coen favors a claustrophobic and oppressive color palette....

The star of the game is the branching five-chapter, 130-event career mode, which, along with the previously mentioned races, features a handful of time trials over tough terrain and gymkhana events where the key to getting a high score is big air and long drifts. All of this is accompanied by a surprisingly good story told in a series of podcasts between races hosted by entertaining real-life podcasters James Pumphrey and Nolan Sykes....

Well… Not really, no. Not that we’d ever risk giving the game away ahead of the upcoming New Year’s Day adventure (a ‘Festive Special’, as the BBC have termed it) but the thing is, this is a very story-driven episode with lots we’d rather not spoil. To be able to examine its quality in any meaningful way means diving into the details – in particular, decisions certain characters make and how well the episode delivers on its premise, all of which we’ll obviously be saving for the full-fat review next year....

Quite a few Daleks, Cybermen, the Master/Rasputin, and volcanic eruptions later, the Doctor has saved the day once again in “The Power of the Doctor,” but it’s not without consequences. In one last evil act, just as the Doctor sets the Quoronx free, the Master makes sure that the Time Lord receives a fatal dose of energy from the space jellyfish, triggering her next, life-altering regeneration. We all knew this was coming, as the BBC Centenary Special was always meant to be Jodie Whittaker‘s final adventure in the TARDIS....

Make the Doctor a Bit of a Bastard My number one wish-list item for season 14 is I want the Doctor to be a bit of a bastard. Steven Moffat had his flaws, but one thing I loved was his interpretation of what the Doctor is. The way Moffat sees the Doctor is that there is this vast, ancient alien god, full of loneliness, grief, and rage that can burn out suns....

Skills in Dying Light 2 are split between two trees: Combat and Parkour. As you’ve probably guessed, the former helps you with the game’s various combat sequences while the latter will help you bounce around its environments. There are times when the two skill trees even interact in fascinating ways that really unlock a variety of creative possibilities. While Dying Light 2 offers a fairly straightforward skill system, the number of options available to you can sometimes make it difficult to decide which skills you should really focus on and which ones you can probably put off until later (or ignore entirely)....
